Designed 2 green commercial buildings that were approved for financing. The foundation went in on the first 16,000 sf mixed-use building appraised at $3,600,000. Architectural and wetlands approvals were completed for a 28,000 sf building appraised at $9,000,000. A letter of intent was issued for a $69,000,000 mixed-use facility. Noteworthy comments: The zoning Chairman of Brookfield said. ” The former project for this property was 4500 sf and was denied for being excessive. This plan is 7 times larger and I’m going to vote for it because I think it is the way all buildings should be built.” “Steve, you created a $69,000,000 no-money-down project by creating $15,000,000 in equity with your designs. Current Responsibilities:
- Manage Real Estate Brokerage with 7 licensed agents and 14 in training
- Manage full-time recruiter, create and place all marketing
- Oversee the director of The Connecticut Art Gallery with 11 locations, and identify new locations.
- Identify project locations, negotiate the purchase, obtain wetlands and zoning approvals, create budgets and arrange financing for Life Centers.
Other Achievements:
Completed over 1200 renovation projects, and built 12 EnergyStar homes. The only person in Connecticut to design, build and ship a zero-energy home to Germany. Inspected, and created renovation budgets for a real estate portfolio valued at $36,000,000, budgets were approved by Lehman Brothers. 20 years experience as a real estate broker, 15 years managing a relocation company that was recommended nationwide by Woman’s Day Magazine. Schappert has also been interviewed by or featured in ABC, NBC, CNN, the BBC, The Washington Post, Kiplinger’s Financial, Real Estate Investment for Dummies, The New York Times, Connecticut Magazine and many more. Schappert is a Graduate Real Estate Institute, is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist™, Seller Representative Specialist, Resort & Second-Home Specialist and a Certified Real Estate Negotiator. Schappert also spent 2 years as a negotiator for the Secret Service convincing international bank fraud criminals to come to the USA where they could be convicted. 3 groups were convicted in Chicago, New York and Houston.
