Connecticut Real Estate will service the 13 U.S. states that currently offer reciprocity with Connecticut real estate brokers—Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Rhode Island—while expanding our referral and partnership network to Ireland. This expansion allows us to offer relocation and investment services for those looking to move to or from the United States and Ireland, bridging the gap between the two markets.
This initiative is being led by Steve Schappert, The Connecticut Real Estate Broker, who has over 18 years of experience in real estate sales, construction, and relocation. Schappert previously ran a relocation business for 10 years, assisting up to 550 people per month with their real estate needs. His business acumen and service-oriented approach attracted the attention of Woman’s Day Magazine, which featured and recommended his company, Buyers Trust, to buyers around the world. His leadership and proven record of innovation are the driving forces behind this new international expansion.

Ireland’s real estate market has been one of Europe’s most dynamic in recent years. Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Limerick continue to attract global investment, and smaller towns and rural areas are experiencing renewed interest as remote work reshapes how people live. The Vision for Expansion
Our plan begins with strengthening our base in Connecticut and the reciprocal states. Massachusetts and Rhode Island are already in focus for expansion, with new offices planned to open by the end of 2021. Florida, one of the nation’s most vibrant real estate markets, is next in line for development as we build toward a global presence that includes Ireland, the UK, and select European markets.
We initially hoped to open in Florida in 2020, but like many global enterprises, we had to adapt to the challenges presented by the pandemic. Now, with market stability returning and remote transaction systems becoming the norm, our strategy is stronger and more efficient than ever.

Through our collaboration with BIOS Homes, we are also exploring opportunities for sustainable housing projects that can be developed in partnership with Irish communities.
