Alabama Real Estate & Relocation
Connecticut Real Estate is proud to announce the launch of our dedicated Relocation Division, a strategic expansion designed to serve homebuyers, sellers, and investors across the 13 states that currently offer reciprocity with Connecticut real estate brokers. This new division allows us to broaden our footprint, streamline referrals, and partner with elite real estate professionals who are committed to delivering top-tier service nationwide.
For years, Connecticut Real Estate has operated with a forward-thinking vision—one that values collaboration, innovation, and high-level service. Our relocation strategy strengthens that vision. With reciprocity in ALABAMA, COLORADO, FLORIDA, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, MASSACHUSETTS, MISSISSIPPI, NEBRASKA, NEW YORK, OHIO, OKLAHOMA, and RHODE ISLAND, we are uniquely positioned to accelerate our national growth and provide seamless mobility for clients transitioning between states. This expansion is not only about market presence; it is about connecting people to opportunities, elevating standards, and establishing trusted relationships in every region we serve.
Steve Schappert, The Connecticut Real Estate Broker, brings exceptional experience to this initiative. Steve successfully ran a relocation company for a full decade, assisting as many as 550 people every month. His expertise in guiding individuals and families through life transitions has been recognized on a global scale. In fact, Woman’s Day Magazine interviewed Steve and went on to recommend Buyers Trust—his original relocation-focused company—to buyers around the world. This level of exposure and trust is the foundation on which our new Relocation Division is being built.
As we continue to grow, we will be recruiting top agents in each reciprocal state to service our expanding client base. Our goal is to partner with professionals who are committed to excellence, integrity, and client-centered results. These agents will not only represent our relocation clients—they will become the core leaders who help us launch full-service brokerage offices across the country.
Alabama is one of the key states we are targeting for rapid growth. With its steady economic expansion, favorable cost of living, and diverse housing markets—from Huntsville’s booming tech-driven community to Birmingham’s revitalized urban neighborhoods and the coastal appeal of Mobile and Gulf Shores—Alabama offers enormous opportunity for both buyers and real estate professionals. Our relocation partners in Alabama will help us connect incoming residents with the right neighborhoods, schools, investment opportunities, and lifestyle features that best match their needs.
By opening brokerages in reciprocal states, we strengthen our ability to serve Connecticut residents who are relocating for work, retirement, family, or lifestyle changes. At the same time, we provide residents of those states with a direct connection to the New England market—whether they are looking to invest, downsize, purchase a second home, or transition to a new chapter of life. The dual-flow nature of relocation is what makes this division so powerful: we help people move to and from every market we serve.
The plan is to open our Massachusetts and Rhode Island brokerages in 2021 and officially launch our Florida office around the New Year. While we initially aimed to open in Florida in 2020, the global pandemic caused necessary delays, requiring us to shift our timeline. Still, that period of adjustment allowed us to refine our systems, strengthen our infrastructure, and position ourselves for even greater long-term success. Now, with a solid foundation and a growing team, we are ready to expand with speed and precision.
Our relocation program also provides key advantages for agents who join our network. By partnering with Connecticut Real Estate, agents gain access to a steady flow of relocation referrals, advanced training, marketing support, and a proven business model. This structure empowers agents to build predictable income, strengthen their personal brand, and grow alongside a company that is committed to national expansion. Our team mentality ensures that agents have the tools they need to excel, while our leadership team provides hands-on guidance every step of the way.
For clients, our relocation services offer a stress-free experience rooted in communication, transparency, and expert planning. From assistance with neighborhood research to school information, moving logistics, mortgage referrals, and market insights, we help individuals and families navigate the complexities of relocating with confidence. Whether a client is moving for a job, military assignment, retirement, education, or investment opportunity, we are here to ensure the process is smooth, organized, and supportive.
As we expand, our commitment remains the same: to raise the standard of real estate service, empower buyers and sellers with accurate information, and deliver a concierge-level experience that simplifies one of life’s biggest decisions. Relocation is not just about finding a house—it is about welcoming people into new possibilities, new communities, and new beginnings.
If you are an agent in Alabama—or any of the reciprocal states—who wants to align with a company that is growing, innovating, and building a national presence, we invite you to explore this opportunity. Partner with a leader who has already served thousands of clients, gained national recognition, and built a business model that puts service and results first.
If you are a client preparing for a move, we are here to help. From Alabama to New England and everywhere in between, Connecticut Real Estate is ready to deliver the guidance and support you deserve.
