Position Overview:
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Connecticut Real Estate is a key executive role responsible for overseeing the information technology (IT) and computer systems that support the company’s enterprise goals. The CIO will lead the development and implementation of IT strategies, ensuring that technology infrastructure and services align with business objectives. This role is crucial in driving digital transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the security and reliability of the company’s IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Strategy and Vision:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company’s business objectives and growth plans.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to determine their potential impact on the company’s operations and services.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align IT initiatives with the company’s strategic goals.
- Technology Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the management of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud services.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of the technology infrastructure to support business operations.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and assets.
- System Development and Integration:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of software applications, platforms, and tools that enhance business operations.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems with existing infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure that all IT systems and applications are aligned with business requirements and user needs.
- Digital Transformation:
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.
- Implement and integrate advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and automation.

- IT Governance and Compliance:
- Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Manage IT risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions.
- Data Management and Analytics:
- Oversee the management of company data, ensuring its accuracy, security, and availability.
- Implement data analytics and business intelligence tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure the responsible use of data.
- Vendor and Partner Management:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CIO or in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within the real estate, construction, finance, or technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and cloud services.
- Expertise in software development, application design, and system integration.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful IT strategies and projects.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing IT teams.
