Position Overview:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Connecticut Real Estate plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of the company’s strategic plans and daily operations. As the COO, you will oversee the operational aspects of the company, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and excellence in all areas of the business. Your leadership will be vital in translating the CEO’s vision into actionable plans and maintaining a high standard of performance across all divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring all activities align with the company’s goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plans.
    • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and drive initiatives that enhance business processes.
    • Ensure the alignment of operational strategies with the company’s long-term goals.
  3. Project Management:
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of key projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Implement best practices in project management to ensure successful project outcomes.
    • Manage resource allocation and ensure the efficient use of company resources.
  4. Leadership and Team Development:
    • Lead and mentor department heads and managers to foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Provide leadership and direction to ensure cohesive and efficient collaboration across all departments.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the operational team.
  5. Financial Oversight:
    • Work closely with the CFO to manage operational budgets, optimize costs, and ensure financial sustainability.
    • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Develop strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  6. Customer Experience:
    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining consistent and high-quality service delivery.
    • Implement processes to gather customer feedback and drive continuous improvement in customer service.
    • Oversee the resolution of customer issues and concerns promptly and effectively.
  7. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company standards and policies.
    • Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect the company’s assets and reputation.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.
  8. Innovation and Technology:
    • Promote the use of innovative technologies and methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with the CTO to integrate new technologies into the operational framework.
    • Drive digital transformation initiatives to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  9. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to track operational performance.
    • Provide regular updates to the CEO and board of directors on operational activities, performance, and strategic initiatives.
    • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive operational improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a COO or in a similar senior operational leadership role, preferably within the real estate, construction, finance, or technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, finance, marketing, and IT.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities, with a track record of achieving operational excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior management, staff, and stakeholders.
