Chief Art Officer (CAO) Connecticut Real Estate

Position Overview: As the Chief Art Officer (CAO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and cultural identity of Connecticut Real Estate’s properties. You will be responsible for infusing art into our buildings and marketing initiatives, with the overarching goal of increasing foot traffic, enhancing brand awareness, and enriching the overall experience for tenants, visitors, and the community at large.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Artistic Vision: Develop and implement a cohesive artistic vision that aligns with the company’s brand identity and values. Curate a diverse range of art installations, exhibitions, and experiences that resonate with our target audience and enhance the ambiance of our properties.
  2. Art Integration: Oversee the integration of art into our buildings and public spaces, including lobbies, common areas, outdoor spaces, and event venues. Collaborate with architects, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that art installations complement the architectural design and contribute to a dynamic and engaging environment.
  3. Marketing Initiatives: Leverage art as a strategic marketing tool to drive foot traffic, generate buzz, and differentiate our properties in the marketplace. Develop creative marketing campaigns and events that showcase our art installations and engage our target audience, both online and offline.
  4. Community Engagement: Cultivate partnerships with local artists, galleries, cultural institutions, and community organizations to support the local arts community and foster meaningful connections with the communities where our properties are located. Organize art-related events, workshops, and collaborations that encourage community participation and interaction.
  5. Brand Building: Use art as a means of storytelling to communicate our brand values, heritage, and unique selling points to tenants, visitors, and stakeholders. Develop branded art installations and experiences that reinforce our brand identity and create memorable experiences for our audience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, art history, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • years of experience in curating art exhibitions, managing art programs, or working in a similar capacity.
  • Strong artistic vision and aesthetic sensibility, with a keen eye for selecting and curating art.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful art-related marketing initiatives and events.
  • Passion for the arts and a commitment to supporting emerging and underrepresented artists.
