This exciting expansion will serve the 13 states that offer reciprocity with Connecticut real estate brokers, allowing our agents to seamlessly assist clients relocating both to and from Connecticut. Our founder and broker, Steve Schappert, brings over 30 years of experience in real estate, construction, and relocation services. Having operated a successful relocation company for a decade, Steve personally assisted up to 550 clients per month, helping individuals, families, and corporations navigate the complex process of moving. His expertise and innovative systems caught national attention when Woman’s Day Magazine featured his company, Buyers Trust, and began recommending his services to home buyers around the world. That same level of professionalism, personalized service, and consumer advocacy now powers our new relocation division under the banner of Connecticut Real Estate.

Connecticut’s reciprocity agreements open the door to exciting partnerships with licensed professionals in the following states:
Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Rhode Island.
These states will serve as the foundation of our multistate expansion strategy. Through these connections, our clients will enjoy trusted referrals and coordinated real estate assistance across a network of vetted top-producing agents who share our commitment to quality service.

The Roadmap to Expansion

The plan is clear and focused. We will first establish our foundation in the Northeast, opening brokerages in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, followed by Florida as our first major southern hub. Florida was originally planned for 2020, but due to the global pandemic, we prudently adjusted our timeline. Now, with the market stabilizing and remote work transforming how and where people live, the timing for expansion couldn’t be better.

Following our Florida launch, we will continue into New York, Illinois, and Ohio, leveraging the strength of our reciprocity agreements to establish strategic offices and partnerships. Each location will operate as part of a unified network that shares resources, marketing systems, and client referrals, ensuring consistent service quality nationwide.
