Because Connecticut offers reciprocity with 13 states, we are strategically positioned to expand rapidly while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and client care.
Steve Schappert, known as The Connecticut Real Estate Broker, brings decades of real-world experience to this initiative. He successfully ran a relocation business for 10 years and personally assisted up to 550 people per month. His work caught the attention of national media, and Woman’s Day Magazine interviewed him and went on to recommend Buyers Trust to buyers all over the world. That level of credibility, leadership, and hands-on experience forms the backbone of our relocation division.
Connecticut currently has reciprocity with Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Rhode Island. This means we can quickly serve clients moving in or out of these states and connect them with licensed, trained, and highly skilled real estate professionals who understand both local and interstate relocation needs.
Recruiting Elite Agents for a National Network
As part of our expansion, we are actively recruiting top-tier agents in each reciprocal state. We want to partner with professionals who understand the importance of outstanding service, who communicate clearly, and who put the client first every time. Agents who join us will receive a steady stream of relocation leads, brand support, training, and the opportunity to become foundational members of new brokerage offices as we launch them.
Our plan is not to grow randomly, but intentionally—state by state, market by market—using proven systems and strategies that Steve has developed over years of hands-on industry work. Once we establish a reliable and professional network of agents in each state, we will begin opening physical brokerage locations where needed. These offices will serve as hubs for relocation assistance, training, agent support, marketing programs, and community-based real estate services.

The next major step in our growth strategy is establishing a strong presence in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. These markets are uniquely positioned to benefit from our relocation model. Florida Coming Soon
We initially planned to open Florida in 2020, but like many businesses and organizations around the world, our plans were impacted by the global pandemic. Rather than rushing into expansion during uncertain times, we shifted, adapted, and prepared. Now, with the market stabilized and conditions more favorable, we expect to launch our Florida division around the upcoming new year.
Florida remains one of the fastest-growing states in the country, attracting retirees, families, investors, and professionals alike. With its year-round climate, robust job growth, and business-friendly environment, Florida continues to be a major relocation destination—making it a perfect fit for our network and long-term goals.
