Discovery Rangers

Mr. Stephen Schappert presenting the Royal Rangers Outpost 27 with a donation.

The Royal Rangers Ministry is a Bible-based, active, small group church ministry for boys and young men in grades K-12 that learn the tools to model Christ-like manhood in a Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered journey to maturity in the manhood and faith.

Our mission is to evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of Christ-like men and lifelong servant leaders. The Royal Rangers Ministry is a cross-generational ministry that interconnects with children, youth and adult ministries which flows easily with other church ministries.

The Royal Rangers are able to participate in Camps, Awards, Competitions, Leadership building activities, Teamwork activities, Learn Life skills from setting-up tents, cooking, cleaning up in every aspect from sleeping head- quarters to bathroom cleaning., etc.

Royal Rangers attend different camps such as Security Color Guard Camp which is similar to a Military style Camp, where they learn how to march, fold the flag correctly, hold the flagpole properly, and proper dress code when called to duty. This camp is usually in May. Action Camps is where they do canoeing, rock-climbing, and more physical activities, these are usually in August. District Camp is where all Royal Rangers from all of Southern New England churches come together in Massachusetts called Ranger Fest, which is held once a year in June. As many know camps can be pricey and many parents shy away because of the cost, but here at The House of Prayer Church in Waterbury, CT the Royal Rangers ministry with generous donations we are able to send these boys to the different camps at a discounted fees and many times at no cost to the boys and their families. The House of prayer is located at 1245 Thomaston Avenue Waterbury, CT 06704

The reason for the camps and activities is to help them grow physically in many levels, to use their hands, mind, and feet, motivate them, be active, but most of all keep the boys off the streets, help them to build godly friendships by communicating with each other without electronics, and to help build and strengthen their faith and relationship with Christ.

The Royal Rangers Outpost 27 from the House of Prayer Church in Waterbury would like to thank Mr. Stephen Schappert for his gracious donation to the Royal Rangers Outpost 27. Thanks to his gracious donation will allow us to send at least 15 boys to camp at no charge to the boys or family. They will have the opportunity to continue to be motivated and empowered to build life skills as they become men. Begin their journey into manhood and building a strong relationship with God.

Every donation big or small is dedicated into changing a boy’s life. This is a program that can occupy their time and teach them different things when there is no programs available for them.

Royal Ranger has open registration throughout the year and is usually a $15 fee for the entire year. We NEVER turn a child away if there is an inability to pay the fee, we believe ALL boys DESERVE a chance to GROW, BE ACTIVE, ENCOURAGED, AND EMPOWERED THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD and to be mentored by godly men and women of God. Which brings them HOPE in all aspect of life.

Thank you again Mr. Schappert for your gracious donation that will be changing the life of many of our boys. God bless.
